Chris Ryall confirms AtS S6

Although I had heard versions of this, I waited until somebody official confirmed it - and it just got confirmed.

AtS S6 will be happening at IDW with Joss and Brian Lynch writing it, according to this panel.

I have only one thing to say;

WOOHOO!

I'm soooo freakin' excited about this!! Now I get to see if my season 6 theories become true :) I wonder if Joss is going to write it exactly how he had planned season 6 around when it was cancelled or if he has changed his mind and gone another way....

What with the BtVS S8 comics coming out and then this, it's almost like Joss is back on TV - not quite but pretty damn close! I have wanted to see more of Illyria's story so I am particularly excited about that aspect. Wes - I wish we could see more but .... Mind you, there was some interesting speculation yesterday at Whedonesque (http://whedonesque.com/comments/12749#more) about ways that that could be possible.

I'm excited about this as well. Although I like the endings of both Buffy and Angel, I can't resist wanting to know more about these characters. It's like "Firefly": If "Serenity" is all we get, I'm happy with that, but I would love to see more of the characters. Of course, with Firefly, I would really love more TV!!!

I think this calls for an !EXCL!, don't you, [livejournal.com profile] catalyst2?
