Not the word I'd have chosen

I drove into the petrol station today to check up the tires on my wife's car. AS I drove around to the air pump, I could see that someone had parked their white van in front of it. No problem though, as that pump has a 20-30 foot hose on it. I am partway through pumping up the tires when I hear footsteps behind me and a male voice speaks out, "Oh sorry, you must think I'm such a slut, just leaving my van there!"

I said no problem and then he drove off before I processed what he said. I checked with my son who had heard him speak. "Did he ....?" My son just nodded and smiled.

That IS and interesting choice of word...
I'm not sure how it works in that context (has the meaning changed when I wasn't looking?)
