This was yet another game marred by an unnecessary red card - with a Swiss player being sent off after half an hour, this degenerated into a ten-man Swiss defence versus a thrilling Chile attack that just couldn't put the ball into the net. Eventually Chile got a goal after about 75 minutes but the Swiss had no answer, going down 1-0. The referee also gave out another 9 yellow cards indicating how poorly he controlled the game.
