I really don't get *this* beach thing!
Just finished another 6-hour shift at the beach. I hated it just as much as yesterday but did amuse myself watching this:
A group of 8 guys, all about 20-25 at a guess, had a radio controlled model of a cabin cruiser. It was a very detailed model and large too - about 3-4 feet long. It was capable of quite a pace too, given a long enough run-up. They were standing in a large circle about mid-thigh depth in the water. They seemed to be having a great deal of fun playing with the model but they did seem to be having a lot of trouble steering it - or so I thought. When I looked more closely, it was a game, the point of which was to take turns on the controls, driving the boat as fast as you could into your own genitals! Apparently, the winner was the guy who managed to do it hard enough that he was bent over and vomiting from the pain. I am pretty sure he was the winner from the cheer he got, plus the fact that, once recovered, he was presented with a block or beer (24 cans) by the rest of the guys.
Now I understand that it is an urge of some young men to dare each other to damage their own genitals but what happened to using vast quantities of drugs and alcohol to render to you impotent or a game of rugby so you can get stamped in the groin? I know from personal experience that that one hurts! You younglings always have to use technology to help you get on in the world - what happened to the old-fashioned methods of stupidity?
