Just finished it and it was much better on the whole than I expected
the ending was just wet. I looked back to see if I could work out what went wrong. Well, I couldn't do "what" but I could figure out the exact spot:
Page 597 (in the Australian edition any way), paragraph starting "Now he could move through the Hall without interference."
Some wonderful heart-stopping moments and great insights into characters but I still feel a little let down.
