Pushing Daisies: Pilot
Just watched the pilot - not sure I liked it very much. The pace was very slow at times and the VO got to me after a while, as did the "32 years, 7 months, 4 days, 19 hours and 3 minutes" repetitions. Still, I would definitely give it another episode - some of the slowness was from the initial setup and that won't be needed again.
What I liked:
- lots of funny lines - "I can hold my breath for a very long time!" - and it looked gorgeous. Also Lee Pace and Barry Sonnenfeld are back with Bryan Fuller - all from Wonderfalls days and Anna Friel, Swoosie Kurtz and Christine Chennowirth (sp?) all put in great turns.
It is very quirky and I don't see it lasting more than six episodes on TV, sadly!
